I started the Create with Meg Studio, with the hopes of making a welcoming space to compile my vast collection of; ideas, creations, projects, and programs, so they are more easily accessible to you!
By offering unique experiences for you and your family, my goal is to inspire & encourage more creativity and self expression!
I also strive to create naturally engaging environments for human connection!
Let's create & embrace being mindful, resourceful, and engaging in community!
I believe that by exploring & experiencing creative activities, we can nurture our mind body and soul for a more balanced, peaceful life!
And when we share our experiences, we empower each other to create a brighter future for our children!
More About Meg
My family and I lived in Calgary from 2017 until recently moving to Nanton AB in 2024! It has been a big change but we love it, found the Studio, and are very excited for this next chapter!
I grew up in Edmonton, and had a very special connection with a non-profit, Child and Family Resource Centre!
Working there for multiple years in a variety of positions, my favorite part was as an ECE Assistant and working closely with children in Early Start, Head Start, and Youth programs!
I had the pleasure of gaining experience with ages from infants to Junior high students and caregivers, as well as organizing & hosting a variety of groups and events!
I was fortunate to partake in extensive learning/training about Early Childhood Education and Development, including Special Needs, Cultural Diversity, and Mental Health!
I love getting silly and engaging playfully with children! My hope is to inspire them to express themselves authentically, go forward confidently in life, and not grow up too fast! Watching the innocence of them experience the world for the first time absolutely warms my heart! I also love encouraging adults to embrace their inner child as well!
That being said, I and am excited to start offering more creative opportunities for adults! I am young at heart but with an old soul, and love connecting with all ages!
I also studied Holistic Nutrition in Edmonton and am passionate about continuing to expand my knowledge around biological uniqueness. This inspires me to embrace celebrating and incorporating nature into everyday life! It also encourages my excitement for recycling and up-cycling! I have always loved crafting, gifting, thrifting, DIY, etc..!
I strive to create a lot of our own products at home and the studio!
Nothing makes me happier and feel more connected to the universe than MUSIC and MOVEMENT! I love to sing, dance, and express myself creatively!
So when I tried Zumbini with my daughter at 18 months, I knew it was a perfect fit for me to become an instructor! She has been movin' and groovin' with me in our own classes ever since, and we LOVE sharing the experience with other families! This then led to the creation Messy Play Events!
Another creative outlet we love, is to get MESSY and I strongly believe that learning through play is crucial for a healthy child development!
I want to help encourage more sensory exploration in this generation of kids, and provide artistic experiences to do so!
I could go on forever, as I am very multi-passionate! So come on into the Studio to meet me in person, I am always up for a chat! :)
