I started the Create with Meg Studio, with the hopes of making a welcoming space to compile my vast collection of; ideas, creations, projects, and programs, so they are more easily accessible to you!
By offering unique experiences for you and your family, my goal is to inspire & encourage more creativity and self expression!
I also strive to create naturally engaging environments for human connection!
Let's create & embrace being mindful, resourceful, and engaging in community!
I believe that by exploring & experiencing creative activities, we can nurture our mind body and soul for a more balanced, peaceful life!
And when we share our experiences, we empower each other to create a brighter future for our children!
Fun Facts About Meg
I grew up in Edmonton and have a deep-rooted connection to a Child & Family Resource Centre, where I worked for several years in a variety of roles.
My favourite work was hands-on with children in Early Start, Head Start, and Youth programs.
I’ve gained experience supporting infants through junior high students, caregivers, and community groups.
My background includes extensive training in Early Childhood Education and Development, including special needs, cultural diversity, and mental health.
I love engaging playfully with children and encouraging creativity, confidence, and authentic self-expression.
I believe children should be allowed to stay children for as long as possible — curiosity, wonder, and imagination matter.
I also enjoy encouraging adults to reconnect with their inner child.
I studied Holistic Nutrition and am passionate about nature, biological uniqueness, and mindful living.
Crafting, DIY, thrifting, recycling, and up-cycling are lifelong loves, and I enjoy creating many of our products at home and in the studio.
Music and movement are at the heart of everything I do — I grew up in musical theatre and love singing, dancing, and creative expression.
Discovering Zumbini with my daughter at 18 months inspired me to become an instructor, and we’ve been moving and grooving together ever since.
This journey led to the creation of Messy Play Events.
I strongly believe learning through play and sensory exploration is essential for healthy child development.
